Hi, I’m Skye! I was born with a twinkle of stardom in my eyes and knew from a young age that I was destined for the stars! I’ve always been an entertainer. I’d tap dance in the grocery line for strangers at 3 years old, and dance beside the piano man at restaurants, earning some of his tips and my first few dollars. I also won Most Beautiful Baby in Illinois, and many other awards in my baby pageant days (brushes shoulder*). But my favorite audience is my family and friends. I love being amongst my big family cracking jokes, making them cry tears of laughter until early morning. But even a girl like me, with all the confidence in the world, would come up against trying tribulations that would test my self-worth.
It wasn’t until high school that I discovered a small theatre on the Southside of Chicago that helped me come out of a cocoon of depression and blossom into a butterfly. That’s when I realized acting was my calling.
I stretched my wings and attended Ohio University’s School of Theatre where I learned began mastering my craft. It amazed me how stories can evoke a range of emotions, like laughter even through pain as a way of catharsis, how it could heal even the toughest wounds, and pull someone out of the deepest depression. Some would call me a hopeless romantic. Actually, true story, an ex once angrily called me a “Disney Princess”. Lol! But what can I say? I choose to be brave enough to still believe in fairy tales. In fact, my personal joy as an actor comes from the idea that I can fall in love again and again, in different scenarios, with different people.
Close your eyes as you remember everything you felt when you first saw the love of your life or that moment when you realized they were the one. No matter how the relationship turned out, that new love feeling is so beautiful and pure.
I want everyone to experience that! I want to spread as much joy as possible! So a month after graduating with a Bachelors of Fine Arts, my best friend and I drove out of Los Angeles, California!!! Los Angeles! A.k.a “La La Land”! A dreamer’s paradise filled with opportunity & good weather. But to anyone who thinks they can just daydreaming their way to the silver screen, I’ll tell you right now you’ll die a Sleep Beauty. The craft is the foundation, but the crash course in LA Showbiz 101 comes from trial and error. For me, it’s totally worth it. Whether acting on stage, in front of the camera, modeling, working on stage combat, or directing behind the camera – I love to do it all!
Helping others live their lives to the fullest is equally one of my biggest passions. I love sharing how to eat well, live full, and how to have mental, emotional, and spiritual clarity by living a consciously healthy lifestyle. You can find my story to becoming a Health Nut Here! When I’m not acting or saving the world, I’m traveling, hanging out with family & friends, doing yoga or meditating, reading a good book, or playing with my pup, Belle! (Can you guess what my 2nd favorite Disney movie? 😉). Today, I am currently living in North Hollywood, writing and filming my own content, building a sketch show from scratch in the Second City Graduate Program, and networking like crazy! I love to collab and have book quite a few things without an agent, just by building relationships! (Although I’m certainly not opposed to having an agent or manager 😇🤗).
